SHRUTILAHARI MASTERCLASS

Sunaadalahari organized and conducted a series of Master Classes called "Shrutilahari MasterClass" featuring renowned Guru Suguna Varadachari. The classes began in May 2022 and lasted for a year. The program aimed at enhancing manodharmam (improvisation) skills through expert sessions, periodic follow-ups, and in-person summer camp review classes by Guru Suguna Varadachari. The participants also had the opportunity to go on a retreat tour and were considered for concert opportunities based on merit. Additionally, an expert workshop session by Vidwan Thamarakkadu Govindan Namboothiri focused on rare kritis of Swati Tirunal. Sunaadalahari also introduced intermediate and advanced batches in the Shrutilahari MasterClass, providing hybrid interactive sessions, concert performance opportunities, and merit-based financial aid scholarships. In the Shrutilahari Masterclass 2.0, spanning from May to October 2023, weekend classes with Guru Suguna Varadachari were supplemented by expert sessions with industry stalwarts like Rama Ravi, Dr. Nanditha Ravi, and Shyamala Venkateswaran Jayalakshmi, covering various aspects of music including javalis, padams, laya, ragas, sound engineering, and more.

NAVARATRI SUPRABHATA SANGEETHA SEVA

Sunaadalahari's Navaratri Suprabhata Sangeetha Seva 2022 took place from 26th September to 5th October 2022, starting at 5:30 AM IST. The event showcases prominent artists from the Carnatic Music fraternity. The festival celebrates the spirit of Navaratri, a Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of the divine feminine energy. The artists enthrall the audience with their mesmerizing performances, encompassing traditional Carnatic music and vocal renditions. Sunaadalahari's Navaratri festival provided a platform for these artists to showcase their talent and spread joy through their music.

Navaratri Suprabhata Sangeetha Seva

SUNAADAYATRA

Sunaadalahari organizes a series of musical retreats called "Sunaadayatra." In Episode 1, participants were treated to a unique 2-day experience with the legendary Shri. RK Shriramkumar. This immersive retreat included temple visits to Meenakshi Amman Temple, Koodal Azhagar, Pazhamudircholai, and Thiruparankundram, along with intensive workshop sessions. Participants, including students and musicians, gained valuable insights into the significance of these temples in musical compositions. In Episode 2, Sunaadalahari presented another exciting musical retreat featuring Vid. Suguna Varadachari and Vid. RK Shriramkumar. This 2-day weekend treat offered temple visits to Kamakshi Temple, Ekamranatha, and Varadarajar Temple. The participants had the opportunity to attend intensive music workshops and engage in exclusive interactions with these esteemed artists. The retreat was available both in-person and online, catering to students and musicians.

Sunaadalahari Carnatic Music Journey

SUNAADALAHARI DECEMBER MUSIC SEASON

The Sunaadalahari Music Season Festival, held from November 30th to December 11th and December 26th to 29th, showcased a diverse array of events, including lecture demonstrations (LECDEMs), concerts, and more. The festival served as a fundraising initiative to preserve ancient art forms. The schedule featured renowned artists and musicians from various disciplines, offering a rich musical experience. Highlights included performances by Sangita Kalacharya Suguna Varadachari, Aditya Madhavan, Dr. Sumathi Krishnan, Bharat Sundar, TM Krishna, and many others. Additionally, panel discussions, masterclasses, and open house discussions with eminent personalities like Dr. S Sowmya and TM Krishna added depth to the festival.
