A unique Sapta Rāga–Tāla Mālika MasterClass led by Sangita Kalacharya Smt. Suguna Varadachari, designed to deepen your manodharma at every level.

 

This module explores a composition featuring seven rāgas and tālas, with focused, in-depth guidance on each. Students will learn to develop and craft step by step approach to Rāga Ālāpana, Neraval, and Kalpanasvarams within each of the seven rāga–tāla , gaining both structure and creative freedom and nuances from Sangita Kalacharya Suguna Varadachari

Ghana Raga Pancharatnam 

Delve into the timeless brilliance of the Trinity and their lineage composers through a curated selection of rare compositions, guided by the scholarly and musical insights of Sangita Kalanidhi R.K Shriramkumar.

This MasterClass places a strong emphasis on sahitya depth, musical nuance, and structural clarity, enabling participants to internalize compositions beyond notation. Special focus sessions on sarvalaghu svarams for select kritis will help learners develop flow, precision, and aesthetic balance in improvisation.

A dedicated segment on the Ghana Rāga Pancharatnam offers a complete, immersive experience—from learning to achieving flawless group rendition. Students will explore the meaning of sahitya, subtleties of musicality, and compositional structure, bringing these masterpieces to life with authenticity and cohesion.

Sunaadalahari MasterClass 2026 – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) 1. What is Sunaadalahari MasterClass 2025? Sunaadalahari MasterClass is a curated online learning experience for students of Carnatic music, bringing together legendary maestros and leading performing musicians. Spanning from Jun to August 2026, the sessions cover both in-depth modules and expert workshops across a range of Carnatic musical forms. 2. Who are the faculty for this MasterClass? The sessions are conducted by: Module 1: Vid. Suguna Varadachari Module 2: Vid. RK Shriramkumar Module 3: Expert session by Maestros Module 4: Manodharma: Practioner's perspective. 3. What is the format and schedule of the sessions? The MasterClass 2026 is divided into four modules, each running between Jun, Jul and August: Sessions are scheduled to avoid overlap: Students who wish to enroll in all four modules can comfortably attend both morning and evening sessions each Sunday, without any time conflict. 4. Who can join the MasterClass? Students of Carnatic music across all age groups and geographies are welcome. Basic requirement is the ability to sing varnams in two speeds. Applicants are categorized as Intermediate or Advanced in the application form. 5. Can I choose individual sessions or do I have to enroll for the full series? Yes, you can choose to enroll for individual Modules of your choice. Full Package (includes all modules – recommended for deeper engagement) * For Dec Season Performance Opportunity, min 3 modules enrollment is required. 6. What is the application fee? A non-refundable application fee of INR 1000 / USD 50 is applicable. - It ensures serious participation and values the time of both student and faculty. 7. How are the fees utilized? This MasterClass is a not-for-profit initiative. Your contribution: - Supports Guru Dakshina to the artists - Enables organization of concerts and workshops - Helps support the musical ecosystem and upcoming talent We don’t call it a donation — you’re receiving world-class training, and your contribution is your way of giving back to the art. 8. Is financial assistance or scholarship available? Yes.
